Swageless threaded stud cable railing system I – Metal post

The Swageless threaded stud assembly kit is one of the easyest cable railing system to install. Parts of this kit are robusts with a modern look. It is ideal for installation in aluminum or steel posts This kit can tension cable over 25 feet.

This kit for one run of wire rope cable includes :

2 swageless threaded stud (with treaded rod)

2 threaded sleeves

A cable railing should include 7 to 11 runs of cable, depending on the height of the posts.

Installation instruction

Installation Guide (Swageless Stud Cable Railing System - Metal Post – I)

On the front side of your end posts, drill a 11/32’’ hole in diameter to install the swageless threaded studs (with treaded rod) 

On the back side of your end posts, drill a 7/16'' hole in diameter to install the threaded sleeves. Screw slightly the threaded sleeves onto the threaded rods.

Insert the cable into swageless threaded stud and screw firmly the two grub screws to tighten cable.

Cut the cable by measuring the distance to the other swageless threaded stud. Screw firmly the two grub screws to tighten cable. 

For tensioning, use a wrench to keep the swageless threaded studs in place and screw fully the threaded sleeves.
