The sailing cable railing assembly kit combines elegance and robustness. It is similar to the marine hardware that can be found on several sailboats all over the world. Easy to install, this kit can tension cable over 60 feet.
Specifications
This kit includes a swageless jaw turnbuckle , a swageless jaw terminal (with clevis pin) , and two stainless steel screw eyes.
The hardware features a mechanical swage fitting which allows for fast attachment using simple hand tools.
A cable railing should include 7 to 11 runs of cable, depending on the height of the posts.
The tensioning of the cable is done simply by rotating the turnbuckle body clockwise.
When the cable passes through intermediate posts, it is recommended to install protective sleeves.
The sailing cable railing system is suitable for both indoor and outdoor cable railing projects.
Installation instruction
Installation Guide (Sailing Cable Railing System - Timber Post - II)
Insert the stainless steel screw eye in the wood post and attach the swageless jaw terminal (with clevis pin) to it.
On the other end post, insert the stainless steel screw eye in the wood post and attach the swageless jaw turnbuckle to it.
Unscrew the cone of the swageless jaw terminal (with clevis pin) and insert the cable into the cone and the wedge until it is fully seated in the terminal.Tighten securely using two wrenches.
Cut the cable by measuring the distance to the swageless jaw turnbuckle. Unscrew the cone of the swageless jaw turnbuckle and insert the cable into the cone and the wedge until it is fully seated in the terminal.Tighten securely using two wrenches.
For tensioning, simply rotate the turnbuckle body.
